Reception – Chestnut

Chestnut Class have had their first two mornings at Newlands this week. They have all been incredible at coming into school smiling and filling their buckets with positive behaviour! Everyone has made new friends and enjoyed spending time with the friends that they already had. Mr Neighbour popped in to visit the children this morning and see how well they are settling into their new routine. The digging area has been super busy with lots of treasure being discovered and there have been many mud delicacies made in our mud kitchen. Some of the children even helped to plant some bulbs, so that we will have a colourful garden area in the Spring! We are very much looking forward to starting our phonics learning this coming week. Well done Chestnuts for such a brilliant start!
